Type designer Malte Bentzen kept the history of display typography modification in mind throughout the design process. Logistik features an innovative stylistic set of optional ligatures, that allows a ‘connected’ set to be activated – so you can build wordmarks without putting the job out to tender. The ‘connected’ ligature set is optimised for most letter pairings, linking letters with horizontal, vertical and diagonal stems. Variations in rhythm within a sentence, or even within a word are possible, when multiple routes of connection are made. Additional levels of customisation are available through a ‘soft’ stylistic alternate set, including alternate forms for ‘A’ ‘R’ ‘M’ ‘m’ ’n’ ‘a’ ‘r’ ‘u’ and ‘t’. These kawaii-like alternate characters would feel at home on translucent consoles, candy coloured iMacs, and across all means of early noughties optimism. 

Logistik has been carefully engineered for bold headlines and hi-vis logotypes; with its innovative construction and original OpenType features, it is nearly monolinear, but definitely not monotone. Whether adhered onto reflective 3M™ substrates, silkscreened in your favourite fluorescent Pantone™, or a simply printed black and white on neobond® paper, Logistik retains visibility in all conditions.
